The new year always sparks so much reflection. I like to think about my past year and reflect on where I grew and areas I still want to grow! As a child, and even still now, I’ve always had my nose in a book. I love getting lost in the colorful and romantic worlds of my favorite heroines. Standing alongside them during their brave conquests and swooning over their love stories.
I would read about these incredible and impossible loves. The kind of love that changes you. The kind of love that happens against all odds. And as I grew older I realized what an incredible feat it really was for love to survive in our world. (A sometimes seemingly impossible feat).
I think, for me, photography is a way of telling those magical love stories I loved so much. Being a wedding photographer allows me to forever stamp these beautiful love stories in history. Every story is so beautiful and so unique. The intricacies of every relationship are so fascinating. Couples all have this beautiful little world that only belongs to them.
Being able to document these stories and forever reserve their place in history is my passion. Every love story is so special! Getting to celebrate and document them is such an incredible gift and I don’t take the responsibility lightly.
Reflecting on my 2019 instantly brought this Stable View shoot to mind. I feel like it jumped straight from the pages of one of my novels! Absolutely cannot wait to see what kind of stories I’ll get to document in 2020!
