Robert + Carolina: The Wyld Savannah, GA Wedding Photographer

There is something about a low country wedding. Time slows down. The scent of salt lingers in the air. Romance is thick in the air. And nothing else exists in that moment.

I first met Carolina my freshman year in college. We both joined the same sorority. While I don’t remember the exact moment we first met I definitely remember being instantly drawn to her. I was a type-A student. My entire life was scheduled to perfection and tied up with a neat little bow.

Carolina is a free spirit. In the best possible way. She chases her dreams and passions with complete freedom. Watching her inadvertently taught me to step out of my box. I saw the peace that existed in the freedom.

A few years after graduation Carolina reached out to me about photographing her wedding. And I was so stinking excited! She told me all about this incredible man she had met and their beautiful love story. They had chosen the The Wyld Dock Bar in Savannah, GA for their October wedding.

Savannah is definitely for lovers. It’s such a romantic city. The second you arrive you can smell it in the air. The city has an energy. It was the perfect spot for them to start their story together.

The wedding day is perfect in every way. And that includes the rain before the ceremony! (When I say rain I mean…a downpour of biblical proportions). After a slight delay they say “I do” on the dock! The ceremony is followed by a reception featuring a live band (where even I can’t help but dance my way across the dock while photographing). At the end of the night they depart on a boat amongst a flurry of confetti and loved ones.

Being a wedding photographer I get to experience such a range of different joys. Seeing a good friend marry the love of her life is an unparalleled joy. Carolina, I couldn’t be happier for you and Robert. Biggest congratulations to you both! Wishing you a lifetime filled with freedom, passion, health and, above all, love.

Cheers, friend!

The bride’s wedding band is EXACTLY what I’m looking for! Is there any way you could find out where it’s from? Would mean the world to me!
